Historical Arguments getting to broad

I'm reading this book called rights of Spring for my WWI class. Therefore I assume it is going to be about World War I. I am at the moment about 60 pages into the book, and the whole thing is about opera. I do not enjoy opera, and would certainly not choose to take an opera history class. *side note, I just went back and changed the spelling from Oprah to opera... that would have been a fairly halarious mistake though. Anywho... all this oprah stuff better be going somewhere quick, because I can't take much more of this. Historians should just stop trying to be clever and just write about whatever-the-hell their writing about.
