There will be a two month gap in my blogging

I leave for camp (man its funny to say that) on Sunday. So from Sunday on there will be a two month gap in my blogging. I appologize for the inconvinence for the millions of people out there who read my blog everyday. I'm afraid your going to have to find something else to fill the gapping whole in you life that you ussually fill with my words of wisdom.

I got a new pair of shoes

As I had stated earlier I went shopping with my mom. It wasn't as bad as I expected... we acctually got through it pretty quickly. While I am mostly uninterested in what I got I do like having new tennis shoes. I kinda of want to run around in them to break them in. But of chorse, if I did that, I'd have to run. So you can see the dilema I am in.

I'll be spending much of towmorrow shopping with my mom

My sister gets married in Augest and I need a suit. I leave for my camp counsuler job next weeek and I need supplies. Therefore towmorrow will be spent undergoing that most harrowing of experiences... shopping with my mother. Don't get me wrong, I love my mom, and I even like spending time with her. However, I hate shopping, especially for cloths. And my mom is going to want to look at everything in the store before she buys anything. I can already tell its going to kill me. But hey, it beats paying for stuff myself.

Some Nicknames

So I've been trying to give nicknames to people. What I have been doing is finding the person and than trying to think of a good nickname for them. What I have decided might be easier is gto come up with a base of nicknames that could be applied to various people. So I can up with some nicknames, and when I can than try to apply them to the best possible person. Here are some of the nicknames I came up with:
*Note, I did not come up with some of these, but they are pre-existing nicknames that I have decided would be fun to apply to someone

Mathamtical Formula to Determine Favorite Bands

Okay, So like I mentioned earlier, I had a readon for ranking all these songs. I needed to know for certain what songs were 5 stars, 4 stars, 3, 2, and 1. Now that I know, I am applying these knew ratings to make a new list. I have ranked all my favorite bands using the star system. A 5 star song is worth 5 points, a 4 is worth 4, a 3 3, a 2 2. And a 1 star song is worth absolutely nothing. I chose to give songs 1-35 5 stars, 36-125 4stars, 126-275 3 stars, and 276-525 2stars. Then the remaining 600-700 songs are all given one star. So anyway, here are the top 50 bands, along with there scores, as established by this ranking system:

1. Modest Mouse, 74
2. Warren Zevon, 71
3. Beck, 55
4. Bruce Springsteen, 44
5. The Violent Fems, 42
6. John Prine, 39

Scrugby

So my cousin Jacob was talking about the game scrugby, which is apparently a combination of soccer and rugby, but he didn't explain that. So when he said scrugby, my dad was like, "So what's that, a combination of scrabble and rugby?" Which was very funny. However, it also sounds amazingly fun. So I've spent the past few days trying to figure out how to combine scrabble and rugby, so far unsuccessfully. I get back to you if I come up with anything.

I highly reccommend Kicking and Screaming

So I saw Kicking and Screaming and it was very funny. I can not believe how much I like Will Ferell. I really don't think theres anyone funnier working in movies today. It's amazing even the lines that he says that aren't that funny seem funny anyway. I highly reccommend it to anyone.

Some thing my cousin said

This didn't happen this week but I was reminded of it. I think it happened when my cousin Jacob was about 8 or 9. We were saying that are family should start a band. I suggested that the name of the band should be 'Us'. And that the names of our CD's should say something about us. A normal example would be, "Nobody rocks like Us". We asked Jacob to come up with ideas for CD names. He came up with these two: "Black Bats are Different than Us", and "Dead Birds are Deader than Us". I don't know about you, but I believe that both of those are brilliant.

I golfed extremely well

I was playing golf with my family, we played bestball in teams of two. My dad and I shot a 36, par on the chorse was 34. considdering we both average about 54 we both played very well. I think I may finally have this game figured out. Oh, and there was one very short par four, I think it was about 240, and I shot over the green by about 20 yards... it was sweet.

I stepped on a nail

Out on my aunts deck, I didn't have any shoes on and I stepped on a nail. I'm going to be honest with you... it hurt quite a bit. All things being equal I would have really preffered to have not stepped on a nail at all. I don't know exactly when the last time I had a tetnis shot was. I would prefer not to get one, do you think its worth the risk?

Why I haven' been blogging

I know I haven't been blogging for a little while, but I have an explanation. I have been in Iowa for the past 5 days, and Iowa doesn't have the internet yet. Ok they do, but my aint doesn't, and my cousin's internet is intollerablly slow. However, I will now explain everything that happened in several short posts, as is my custom.
