New Warren Zevon Line

It's from the song "Indifference of Heaven" The line goes:

I had a girl,
But now she's gone,
She left town,
The town burned down.

It shows how Warren Zevon can take a regular line about lost love and sadness and take it so far over the top that it becomes kind of... well, funny. Can you just imagine your girlfriend leaving you, and leaving town, and the next day the town burns down. What kind of response can you have to that, "good grief", "what next?" I have absolutely no doubt that this man was a genius.
